Independent Study

I understand that the group setting is not for everyone. Perhaps you have a full schedule and can’t fit the group course in, or maybe you find working with others around distracting and prefer to have my undivided attention for the duration the process. Or maybe you’re a homeschooled student and have the ability to work with me during the day when other students can’t. If any of those sound like you, the Independent Study Package is the way to go!

I walk you through the same material I cover in the group courses, so you’re not missing out on anything. Better yet, it’s done at your pace, meaning if we need to spend more time on one specific step of the process, we have the leeway to do so. You choose when our workshop sessions take place so they fit your schedule! You also get to decide how long and when the feedback meetings will be; you have the choice of having them be quick 15-minute check-in meetings or longer 30-minute meetings, and they take place when you’re ready. 

The Independent Study Package (Course base) includes 4 hours of workshop time and the process for ONE essay, which includes 60 minutes of feedback meetings, the time I spend providing feedback on your drafts before each meeting (which is usually the same amount of time as our upcoming scheduled meeting), and the time it takes me to proofread your final draft at the end.

Any additional essays or responses you’d like my guidance on should be added through the Add-on Essay/Response Package. On the checkout page, be sure to change the quantity to your total number of essays minus one. When you are ready, you will schedule each of the additional essays separately from the course base.
