I hold a PhD in English Studies. Over the past two decades, I have helped thousands of high school and college students become better writers.

The importance of the essay in a student’s application is significant. It is through the essay that schools are able to see who the student is as a person rather than just a set of scores and grades. It is imperative that students focus on writing essays and responses that highlight their unique characteristics, demonstrate their best skills, and illustrate who they are as individuals. I help bring out the stories that allow students to shine!

Get a jump on the 2025-2026 Application Season!

Summer Boot Camps and Summer Courses are now open for registration.

Boot camps are intense workshop sessions spanning four consecutive days. We cover the essential writing process steps—brainstorming, blueprinting, drafting, and revision. By the end of the boot camp, each student will have a solid draft of their essay, leaving them with only a little editing to do before hitting “submit”!

Ready to complete your essay or essays this summer? From brainstorming to final proofreading, Kat will work with you to ensure you create writing you will be proud of! The essay courses include small group sessions with other students and one-on-one feedback sessions with Kat over several weeks.
